Inspiring Creativity From Diversity

Course leaders: Producer Mukti Jain Campion and creativity trainer Alex Dalton

A lively, interactive workshop that explores the creative opportunities that diversity offers to programme makers and inspires you to:

  • Build a richer understanding of what diversity means in broadcasting and the opportunities to bring less-heard voices into the mainstream of radio
  • Identify 7 key pathways to creativity through diversity
  • Learn practical tips for generating original ideas both inside the training room and out in the streets
  • Gain confidence in developing and pitching successful programme ideas that are enriched by diversity

Venue: Oxford House, a community and arts centre just off Bethnal Green High Street. The venue is wheelchair accessible and benefits from natural daylight and a lovely view over Weavers’ Fields. It is situated in a vibrant multicultural area of Tower Hamlets which has witnessed centuries of different migrant settlement from Huguenots and Jews to Bangladeshis and Somalis.

In association with Creative Skillset and the Radio Independents Group.
